Raftery + Lowe are documenting the construction Manhattan Loft Gardens, a luxury residential skyscraper on the edge of the Olympic park, in Stratford east London, with a video timelapse.
The tower designed by SOM Architects for Manhattan Loft Corporation is currently being built by Bouygues UK and is half way through its 30 month construction period.
The double cantilevered tower will have three sky gardens and a design hotel and is by the developer responsible for the Chiltern Firehouse and St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.
To mark Manhattan Loft Gardens reaching full structural height Raftery + Lowe created a mini film highlighting the collaboration between Bouygues UK and VSL. The team were able to provide technical solutions, such as changing the steel structure to concrete to combat the two cantilevers on levels 7 and 25. This film highlights the collaboration of Bouygues UK and VSL.
